Gameboy Advance non oem, Medabots Metabee AX video game cartridge. Game cartridge comes with a plastic protective case just like the picture shows.
This is the European version.
Medabots AX Metabee Version for the Game Boy Advance is a 2D side-scrolling platform fighter where you battle customized robots in 2v2 team matches. Released in 2002, this version focuses on Ikki and his partner Metabee, specializing in long-range shooting and rapid-fire weaponry.
Core Gameplay Mechanics
Unlike the traditional top-down RPG Medabots games, AX is a real-time combat game similar to titles like Digimon Battle Spirit.
- Combat System: Battles are 2v2 "Robattles" where you control a "Leader" Medabot while an AI controls your partner.
- Customization: You build Medabots using four interchangeable "Medaparts"—head, left arm, right arm, and legs—plus a "Medal" that dictates special abilities and performance.
- Victory Conditions: A battle ends when a Leader’s head part is destroyed or after three minutes. If time runs out, the team with more intact parts wins.
- Progression: Winning battles allows you to take parts from defeated opponents to further upgrade your robot.
Version Features & Exclusives
The Metabee version differs from the Rokusho version primarily in its available equipment and starting difficulty:
- Exclusive Content: Medabots like Metabee, Octoclam, and Sharkkan are exclusive to this version.
- Playstyle: Focuses on Shooting Medals and ranged attacks, making the early game generally easier and more durable than the Rokusho version.
- Stages: Battles take place across six environments: Factory, Polar/Glacier, Seashore, Lake, Ruins, and Forest.
Story & Modes
The game follows Ikki Tenryou as he competes in the World Robattle Tournament to prove he is the best Medafighter.
- World Map: You select levels from an overworld map, participating in practice rounds and consecutive sets of three robattles to progress.
- Rubberobo Gang: After the tournament, you must defeat the Rubberobo Gang to reclaim a stolen prize—the Arcbeetle model.
